Why this Diploma is different

This is not a Diploma you complete only on paper.

You build the qualification through a practical workplace transformation experience. Instead of treating AI, digital systems, operations, people, risk and finance as separate subjects, you work through one connected organisation and solve realistic business problems.

Along the way you build:

  • AI and automation experienceWorkflows you built and tested, with the before and after on record.
  • Process and workflow improvementsA map of how the work ran, and what you changed in it.
  • Business reports and recommendationsWritten for a manager who has to make the call.
  • Data and decision-making evidenceThe figures behind each decision, and how you checked them.
  • Customer and people improvementsBetter ways to serve clients and bring new staff on.
  • Risk and governance evidenceThe risks you found, and the controls you put in place.
  • Financial and investment analysisWhat a change costs, and what it is worth.
  • A Career Success & Impact PortfolioOne place an employer can open and read all of it.

So when you finish, you have more than a qualification to put on your CV. You have evidence of what you can do.

How it is delivered

Delivered through the AI Workplace Transformation Program.

The Program
How you build and apply the capability, through practical work inside Next Horizon.
The Diploma
The nationally recognised qualification awarded when all formal assessment requirements are successfully completed.

You move through one connected Learning Journey: AI Future Ready Foundations first, then six Next Horizon departments, and finally Head Office. You also choose one approved client and apply what you have learned to that client case.

The learning is flexible and online, and it follows a deliberate order, so each workplace project builds on the work you have already completed.

Delivery, assessment and support

Online, and built around the job you already have.

  • About 10 monthsfor the Learning Journey
  • About 4 hours a weekand every task shows how long it takes
  • Up to 18 monthsto complete and submit the required qualification assessment evidence
  • Entirely onlinewith no scheduled classes to miss

The order of the work is set; when in your week it happens is up to you.

Assessment is continuous rather than saved up for an exam. You submit evidence as you go, a qualified assessor makes the competency decision, and you know where you stand as you move through. AI tools can give early feedback, but they never make that decision.

The studying is yours to schedule. The support is not rationed to business hours.

  • A course assistant that knows which unit you are in, available whenever you are studying
  • Trainers and assessors you can reach for the things a course assistant should not answer
  • Practical instructions, templates and tools
  • Feedback on your work, live drop-in opportunities and professional development sessions
The standard

What the Diploma requires

Finishing the projects is not the same as being awarded the Diploma. It is awarded when all of these are met:

  • Complete unit evidence
  • Valid and sufficient assessment
  • Assessor judgement
  • Completion of all qualification requirements

Evidence from your Program projects counts where it meets the formal requirements.

If you already have units or experience

What you already hold can count.

If you have already completed equivalent nationally recognised units, credit transfer may mean you are not assessed on them again. If you have substantial relevant skills and experience, recognition of prior learning may do the same for the units your experience already covers.

Both are held to the same national standard as the rest of the qualification. A unit is only recognised where the evidence meets the requirement, so neither is a way around it.

Anyone who offers you the qualification faster than the standard allows is offering you something that will not hold.

Results must be measured and supported by evidence. They should not be assumed or guaranteed.

Tell us what you already hold and we will work out what applies before you commit.

Immersive workplaceNext Horizon

Where the Diploma is delivered

A whole organisation to practise on, without risking your own.

Next Horizon is EduSmart’s immersive workplace: a realistic Australian organisation with six departments and a head office. You join it in a role and do its work.

Sound familiar?

  • Assignments that never connect to each other, or to a real job.
  • An employer who cannot hand you confidential data to practise on.
  • Course examples too tidy to look like the work you actually do.

How the program helps

Each department hands you a realistic problem, with the records and people that come with it. You work through them in order, and your work is gathered as evidence toward the Diploma’s units.

What you could build

  • Current-state process map
  • Enquiry automation investment case
  • Cyber awareness resource
  • Onboarding plan
  • Value analysis

Why it mattersAn employer sees work done inside a whole organisation: the problem, the decision and the result, laid out to check.

Your role is part of the learning experience. It is not paid employment.
